Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

This is a full-time, salaried, exempt, W2 role at Lorenz Clinic, a leading provider of psychiatric services. As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered care to a diverse population of children and adults.
Key Responsibilities- Provide psychiatric services, including evaluation and medication management, to patients in an outpatient setting.
- Conduct diagnostic assessments, treatment planning, and discharge planning for patients.
- Provide intermittent didactics within the clinic's training program, if assigned.
- Comply with clinic documentation standards, licensing board rules, and applicable codes of ethics.
- Maintain professionalism in all interactions with staff, patients, and business associates.
- Carry an assigned treatment caseload and provide psychiatric services under independent licensure.
- Participate in collaboration of care with other mental health providers.
- Use the clinic's Electronic Health Record (EHR) as assigned and adapt to its structure.
- A doctoral degree (DNP or PhD) from an accredited school of nursing.
- Full, unrestricted license to practice as a psychiatric nurse practitioner in Minnesota (or license-eligible).
- At least one year post-licensure experience as a PMHNP in an outpatient setting or successful completion of doctoral-level preceptorship at Lorenz Clinic.
- Formal preparation and supervised experience in psychotherapy (preferred).
- Experience in child, adult psychiatry, Board certification in child or adult Psychiatry (both preferred).
- State DEA registration & BLS certification.
- Ability to work full-time.
- Strong ethical and moral character references.
- Competent in clinician-focused case consultation and clinical supervision.
- Possesses a National Provider Identifier (NPI) prior to first day of employment.
- Approval for Medicare participation within 180 days of hire.
- Ability to travel between locations as required.
