About the Role

The Maintenance Technician is a crucial member of our facilities team, responsible for ensuring the proper maintenance, repair, and operation of all hospital facilities, equipment, and systems. This entry-level position works under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor to ensure that all hospital systems, such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and medical equipment, are functioning efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failures and extend the lifespan of hospital systems
  • Respond to repair requests in a timely and efficient manner, adhering to health and safety regulations
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and equipment status
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Trade School preferred
  • EPA Universal certification preferred
  • Two years of experience in commercial or industrial maintenance; experience in electrical and HVAC fields desirable
  • Ability to function effectively under stress and in emergency situations
  • Strong technical knowledge in building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general mechanical systems
  • Good understanding of safety practices, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and working in a hospital environment
  • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose technical problems effectively
  • Basic knowledge of healthcare regulatory requirements
  • Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
