Position Summary:

The primary responsibility of this role is to deliver outstanding customer service by managing transactions at the cash register while maintaining a positive and helpful demeanor.

This position involves accurately scanning, processing, and entering customer purchases, handling payments, and providing the correct change, as well as assisting customers with inquiries.

As a cash handling specialist, you will be expected to:

Operate the cash register efficiently and accurately.

Process payments, including cash, checks, electronic transactions, and coupons, while ensuring the security of the cash drawer at all times.

Accurately scan or enter items into the system.

Identify and input department codes, produce items, UPC codes, and any items that cannot be scanned.

Assist customers in locating products and addressing their questions or concerns. Provide assistance with bagging customer purchases carefully as needed.
