Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler to join our team at Novanta. As an Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling products according to specifications, ensuring quality control standards are met, and working collaboratively with team members to meet production goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assembly and Quality Control
    • Read and interpret assembly instructions, blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to assemble products according to specifications.
    • Inspect parts for defects or damage and ensure quality control standards are met.
  • Manufacturing and Production
    • Assemble components or sub-assemblies using appropriate tools and following specific guidelines and procedures.
    • Operate power tools and hydraulic press to assemble products.
  • Team Collaboration and Safety
    • Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals on schedule.
    • Follow safety protocols and ensure a safe and efficient working environment.

Requirements

  • Technical Skills
    • Be able to read, interpret, and work from technical drawings, specifications, technical manuals, and schematics.
    • Be able to use hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers.
  • Communication and Teamwork
    • Be able to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
    • Have experience in manufacturing or a desire to learn, along with consistent attention to detail.
