Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Project Architect to join our talented team, focusing on large-scale projects that make a significant impact. The ideal candidate will possess a professional degree in Architecture and a minimum of ten years of relevant experience in the field.
The successful applicant will lead the technical design aspects of various projects, providing innovative solutions that align with client objectives. This role requires a high level of architectural consultation, planning, and coordination of complex initiatives. The Senior Project Architect will apply advanced design concepts and mentor junior staff, playing a crucial role in our project teams. Opportunities to work on a variety of project types, including educational facilities, government buildings, and cultural centers, will be available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in all phases of project development with a strong emphasis on design and technical proficiency.
- Collaborate with project designers to execute design concepts and achieve project goals.
- Implement sustainable design practices throughout the project lifecycle.
- Guide less experienced staff while working under the supervision of senior architects.
- Contribute to the creation of construction documents and conduct code studies, developing independent design solutions.
- Lead or participate in design presentations and studies alongside project designers.
- Facilitate coordination meetings with clients and consultants under the guidance of senior team members.
- Commit to ongoing professional development and embrace the firm's design philosophy.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding client and project information in accordance with firm policies.
Qualifications:
- Architecture license is mandatory.
- 10+ years of professional experience in architecture.
- Experience in Construction Administration is essential.
- Professional degree in Architecture is required.
- Preferred credentials include LEED AP BD+C and/or WELL AP.
- Proficiency in design software such as Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, Rhino, SketchUp, and MS Office.
- Familiarity with collaboration tools like Bluebeam is advantageous.
- Experience with large public projects is preferred.
- Strong balance of design sensibility and technical expertise.
- Knowledge of construction standards, building codes, and accessibility regulations.
- Ability to prepare and coordinate comprehensive documentation sets.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent analytical, communication, leadership, presentation, and time management skills.
