Key Responsibilities
  • Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Bring 10-15 years of mechanical engineering experience.
  • Demonstrate commissioning expertise in mechanical systems.
  • Hold or be willing to obtain commissioning process certification within the first six months.
  • Experience in business development is advantageous.
  • A Professional Engineering License is a plus or the ability to acquire one.
Essential Skills & Experience
  • In-depth knowledge of HVAC operational sequences and capability to conduct design reviews of operational sequences while developing mechanical system testing protocols and executing them in the field.
  • Proficient in managing, adjusting, setting up, and testing HVAC control systems such as JCI, Trane, Automated Logic, Siemens, etc. Familiarity with multiple control systems is beneficial.
  • Comprehensive understanding of HVAC chilled water and DX systems, including design, operation, and testing of chillers, boilers, cooling towers, pumps, heat exchangers, AHUs, RTUs, ERUs, VAVs, exhaust systems, FCUs, etc.
  • Thorough knowledge of air and water testing and balancing processes, with the ability to analyze TAB reports and identify discrepancies.
  • Field experience is essential for visiting client facilities and collecting necessary data for mechanical system testing.
  • Capability to develop mechanical system installation and testing documentation.
  • Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and the ability to recognize deficiencies.
  • Understanding of mechanical codes and the ability to make informed decisions related to them.
  • Ability to interpret mechanical plans and specifications accurately.
  • Competence to work safely around electrical systems up to 600 volts.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients, construction teams, and design professionals.
  • High aptitude for abstract reasoning, assertiveness, thoroughness, and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours and in diverse environmental conditions.
  • Physical capability to climb stairs, ladders, and operate lift trucks, along with the ability to perform moderate lifting. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time.

Compensation Overview
