Key Responsibilities- Assess patients and develop a list of actual and potential needs/diagnoses
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
- Prescribe medications and treatments as needed
- Provide individual, marital, couples, group, and crisis intervention counseling to patients
- Referral of unstable, chronic illness
- Counseling and education relating to specific health care needs and/or health promoting activities
- Licensed as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with recognition by the Texas Medical Board
- Master of Science in Nursing or equivalent
- Certification in area of practice or eligibility for certification
- Must possess or be eligible to obtain a DEA license
- Experience in the healthcare field, particularly in primary or acute care
- Supervisory experience
- ACLS certification desirable
This role requires occasional sitting, frequent talking and standing, and frequent use of hand and finger dexterity. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The work environment is moderate, with a bloodborne pathogens exposure level of 1 (high).
