Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess students' speech, language, and communication abilities.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for students with speech and language disorders.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students individually or in small groups.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' communication goals.
  • Monitor progress, document sessions, and maintain accurate records of student performance.
  • Offer guidance and support to classroom teachers on implementing strategies to enhance students' communication skills.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices and research in the field of speech-language pathology.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current state license or eligibility for licensure in Illinois.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
  • Experience working with children and adolescents in a school or pediatric setting.
  • Strong knowledge of various speech and language disorders and their treatment methods.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
