Position Title: Clinic Technician

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Role Summary

The Clinic Technician plays a vital role in delivering care and support to patients within the clinic environment. Reporting directly to the Team Clinic RN and under the guidance of the Clinical Services Director, this position is essential for ensuring high-quality patient interactions and care.

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience: A minimum of 1-2 years in a similar role, such as CNA I, CNA II, or CMA, with at least one year of experience working with elderly patients.

Licensure: Must possess a valid license or certification relevant to the field of practice and maintain an unrestricted driver's license.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in patient care tasks as directed by the Clinic Nurse, including but not limited to: performing medical procedures under supervision, such as venipuncture and wound care.
  • Provide personal care services to patients, including bathing, dressing, and mobility assistance.
  • Coordinate patient appointments and facilitate their navigation through the clinic to enhance satisfaction.
  • Document care provided and any changes in patient condition accurately in the medical records.
  • Support nursing staff with vital signs and basic triage duties, as well as assist in transporting patients.
  • Manage communication with patients and their families, ensuring follow-up on inquiries and care plans.
  • Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized clinic environment, including restocking supplies and managing waste disposal.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to a collaborative work environment.
Skills and Abilities
  • Strong capability to perform job duties effectively.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including MS Office and electronic medical records.
  • Ability to manage challenging interpersonal situations with professionalism.
  • Demonstrated reliability and accountability in job performance.
