**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a Medical Care Specialist to join our team at Kent Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to patients in need.

**About the Role:

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong communication and interpersonal skills. You will work closely with registered nurses and other healthcare professionals to deliver excellent patient care.

**Responsibilities:

  • Provide general patient care and perform routine treatments and procedures as directed by the Registered Nurse.
  • Assist with personal hygiene to promote patient comfort and well-being.
  • Check and record intake and output as ordered.
  • Take and record patient's vital signs and other measurements as indicated.
  • Give enemas, reinforce simple non-sterile dressings, apply binders, collect specimens, apply heat or cold devices, and perform other routine tasks.
  • Assist the RN in caring for seriously ill patients or in complicated treatments or procedures.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment with well-stocked supplies and functioning equipment.
  • Docket all patient care information accurately and legibly.

**Requirements:

  • Vocational/Technical training and more than six months job-related experience or equivalent.
  • RI State Nursing Assistant license is also required.

Kent Hospital offers a competitive salary of $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development.
