Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at InVision Human Services. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair activities, including preventive maintenance for our residential and office site locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide maintenance solutions that meet health and safety standards for residential and commercial locations.
  • Perform repairs and installations of electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Assess and report on household systems, including HVAC and appliances.
  • Secure resources necessary for task completion.
  • Serve as point-person with outside vendors and provide recommendations to the Facilities team.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on residential and commercial locations.
  • Complete household licensing preparation in accordance with DPW regulations.
  • Complete new residential site property assessments.
  • Correct newly identified health and safety issues.
Requirements
  • One year's experience in residential or commercial facilities maintenance.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and computer proficiency with Microsoft Outlook.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to travel within the state.
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively build and develop business relationships.
  • Ability to present information and respond to questions from Facilities Manager and other staff.
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Basic knowledge and experience in carpentry, plumbing, electricity, and mechanical tasks.
Physical Demands

The employee is regularly required to sit, talk or hear, and frequently uses hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands/arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and stoop, kneel or crouch, and may lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
