We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Trainer to join our team at Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering training programs in cyber defense and compliance, utilizing their expertise in adult learning theories and cybersecurity principles.
About the RoleThis is a temporary/casual staff position with a proposed minimum salary of $45.00 per hour. The ideal candidate will have four years of experience in cybersecurity, information technology, or a related field, as well as one year of adult education and/or training.
Key Responsibilities- Instruct cybersecurity courses and provide technical assistance to clients
- Prepare training materials, training aids, and equipment prior to course delivery
- Ensure classrooms are ready for participants and ensure concerned parties are notified of schedules, locations, and times
- Assist with creating new and updating curriculum content to meet learner needs
- High School Diploma or GED
- Four years of experience in cybersecurity, information technology, or a related field
- One year of adult education and/or training
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology/Security discipline from an accredited college or university
- Five or more years of experience in IT and systems administration focused on information security, auditing, and/or compliance
The successful candidate will work in a dynamic environment, collaborating with colleagues and interacting with customers to deliver high-quality training programs. They will also be required to travel independently to other locations by driving a personal or TEEX vehicle and/or flying on commercial airlines.
