We are seeking a skilled Wound Nurse to join our team at Friendship Retirement Community in Salem, VA. As a Wound Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality care to our residents with wound-related needs.
Responsibilities:- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to assess patient needs and develop effective care plans.
- Act as a specialty consultant to physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Educate patients and families on wound care and management.
- Promote patient advocacy and maintain ethical practice standards.
- Stay current with professional practice standards, research, and theories to improve care.
- Unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in the state.
- BLS required, ACLS preferred.
- ASN/BSN preferred, 1-2 years of experience in long-term care preferred but not required.
- 401(k) retirement plan with employer match.
