Collections Specialist

Job Title: Collections Specialist
Job Summary:
CMR Construction & Roofing is seeking a skilled Collections Specialist to join its Residential AR Team. As a Collections Specialist, you will be responsible for collecting money owed to CMR from its customers.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare documents for projects as needed and secure customer signatures
- Submit required documents to customers and ensure their receipt
- Track project status to identify milestones and initiate customer billing
- Follow up with mortgage processors to ensure prompt release of funds
- Consistently follow up with customers to secure payments
- Proactively identify and prevent issues
- Work with other CMR Departments to resolve issues preventing prompt payment
- Provide assistance to other CMR Departments to ensure projects reach PAID IN FULL status
- Track aging of invoices and "last day of work" to ensure CMR files liens for unpaid work
- Escalate issues inhibiting prompt payment to CMR
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of collections, customer service, and/or sales experience
- Account management experience
- Knowledge of debt collection legal requirements
- Roofing and insurance restoration experience/knowledge is a plus
Work Environment:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
