Overview:
Soliant is seeking a committed and skilled Educator for Students with Visual Impairments to join our dedicated team. This role involves delivering tailored educational support to students facing visual challenges, ensuring they receive equitable access to learning opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and execute personalized education plans (IEPs) for students with visual impairments.
- Provide direct instruction in braille and assistive technologies.
- Modify and adapt curriculum materials to cater to the unique needs of visually impaired learners.
- Collaborate with general education staff to guarantee students' access to the broader curriculum.
- Conduct evaluations and track student development.
- Offer guidance and training to families and educational staff regarding visual impairments.
- Maintain comprehensive and current records of student progress and services rendered.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education for the Visually Impaired or a related discipline.
- Valid certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired.
- Preferred: Additional certification in Orientation and Mobility.
