Position Overview:

The Department of Anthropology within the College of Arts and Sciences is seeking to appoint a tenure-track faculty member at the Assistant Professor level in Cultural Anthropology. The ideal candidate will focus on areas such as medical anthropology, health disparities, environmental justice, or related fields that enhance the department's existing strengths.

This role is a 9-month appointment in the standard title series. The successful candidate is expected to develop a research agenda centered on Latine/x communities in the United States.

Applicants should be prepared to instruct both undergraduate and graduate courses in Medical and Cultural Anthropology, as well as in their specific areas of expertise.

The successful candidate will have opportunities to engage in various interdisciplinary programs beyond the department, including the Center for Health Equity Transformation (CHET) and the College's Latin American Caribbean and Latino Studies Program.
