As a key member of our medical office staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of allergy and asthma conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Assist Physicians in Patient Care: Provide support to our physicians during office visits, ensuring safe and quality patient care.
- Perform Diagnostic Procedures: Conduct skin testing, pulmonary function testing, and draw blood for laboratory tests as needed.
- Administer Immunotherapy Injections: Safely administer immunotherapy injections and maintain accurate records of treatment.
- Emergency Response: Respond to emergency situations, including the use of CPR if necessary.
- Telephone Support: Assist physicians with patient calls, providing instructions and prescription refills as needed.
- Reaction Management: Manage and treat reactions that occur secondary to immunotherapy.
- Aseptic Environment: Maintain a clean and safe environment for medical office procedures.
- Patient Education: Educate patients on their physical condition, treatment plan, and use of equipment and medication delivery devices.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Teamwork: Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and undertake a variety of diverse care tasks.
- Travel: Ability to travel to multiple office locations as needed.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with clinic health, safety, and sanitation standards and procedures.
- Confidentiality: Understanding of confidentiality obligations and nursing best practices.
- Communication: Excellent knowledge of medical terminology and ability to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.
- Licensure: Valid and current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (L.P.N.) to practice in the state of GA.
- Knowledge: Knowledge of clinic practice standards, policies, and procedures.
- Record Keeping: Ability to properly maintain records.
- Previous Experience: Prefer one year of previous employment in a medical setting.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with adult and pediatric patients and families, as well as with co-workers.
