We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at the Parkersburg Correctional Center. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care to our incarcerated patients.

The LPN will assist in the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Under the clinical guidance of Registered Nurses, you will direct and guide patient teaching activities commensurate with education and demonstrated competencies.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in the assessment of patients' physical, psychological, and social dimensions.
  • Developing and implementing individual treatment plans in collaboration with Registered Nurses, physicians, and correctional officers.
  • Administering medications and interventions as directed by providers.
  • Documenting patient encounters, responses, and effectiveness of care.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Requirements include:

  • Current, unrestricted LPN license in the state of West Virginia.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Minimum one year of clinical experience, with correctional experience preferred.
