Position Overview:
As a Junior Imaging Equipment Technician, you will engage in observing and executing various service operations related to diagnostic imaging apparatus to enhance customer satisfaction and ensure optimal performance of basic imaging devices.
Key Responsibilities:
Under supervision, your duties may include:
- Assessing and resolving imaging equipment malfunctions within a healthcare radiology setting.
- Conducting scheduled maintenance on assigned devices.
- Performing safety and environmental evaluations to comply with relevant health and safety regulations.
- Documenting service and repair activities in accordance with hospital protocols and company policies.
- Maintaining regular communication with clients to guarantee issue resolution and follow-up, fostering customer satisfaction.
- Learning the proper maintenance of tools and testing instruments, ensuring they are calibrated correctly. Continuously improving technical knowledge of current standards and procedures related to medical equipment.
- Collaborating with seasoned technicians on advanced repairs and solutions, contributing to efficient service delivery across assigned accounts.
Qualifications:
- Completion of an A.S., B.S., M.S., diploma, or relevant certification in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, Medical Imaging Technology, Mechanical Principles, or a similar field, or equivalent military education. Alternatively, current students nearing graduation in these fields are also encouraged to apply.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale is required.
- Experience or coursework in interpreting schematic diagrams and performing maintenance on basic diagnostic imaging or electronic devices.
- Ability to cultivate and maintain positive customer relationships.
- Possession of reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
Physical Requirements:
Applicants must be capable of lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 35 lbs. unassisted, and frequently bending, stooping, twisting, climbing, crouching, kneeling, sitting, and standing for extended periods. Candidates should also be able to reach at, above, and below shoulder level, flex and extend the neck, and possess good hand and finger dexterity. Vision capabilities required include color vision, close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
Additional Information:
- Must adhere to company quality and compliance training requirements.
- Familiarity with the company’s Quality Manual and applicable regulations is essential.
Preferred Attributes:
- Prior experience in interpreting schematic diagrams and performing maintenance on biomedical or electronic equipment.
- Strong analytical and communication skills to convey technical issues in an understandable manner.
- Proven ability to develop and sustain positive customer relations.
- Experience working collaboratively with both internal teams and external clients.
- Knowledge of diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electronic equipment.
- Process-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Local candidates are preferred.
