Job Title: Procurement Specialist

This role is ideal for an established Procurement professional seeking a new challenge. As a Procurement Specialist with Quest Global in Medford, NY, you will be responsible for controlling the flow of incoming materials to efficiently meet manufacturing requirements. This may involve working early or late hours due to supplier locations.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Business or a related field and at least 5 years of experience as a Buyer. Excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills and exposure to ERP systems are also essential. Quick learners who can adapt to new situations and drive change will thrive in this role. Additionally, excellent verbal and written communication skills, great interpersonal and networking skills, and self-motivation are required.

Responsibilities:
  • Carry out procurement processes, standards, and operational plans, including RFPs, negotiation preparations, and cost analysis.
  • Respond to client inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Responsible for all aspects of the relationship with a specific supplier within a commodity.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Buyer.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills.
  • Exposure to ERP systems.
  • Quick learner with aptitude to learn more and drive change.
  • Experience in working in a cross-functional team.
  • Self-motivated, disciplined, passionate, and organized.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Great interpersonal and networking skills.

Location: MEDFORD, NY
Role: 100% Onsite
Travel: Non-typical
Status: 6-month contract; May be extended based on customer need. Estimated salary: $70,000 - $90,000 per annum.
