Explore an exciting opportunity as a full-time Surgical Pathology Specialist within our surgical pathology department, where your work hours will be from 12:30 PM to 9:00 PM over five days, contributing to a total of 40 hours of meaningful service.

Under the guidance of the Pathologists' Assistant Manager, you will engage in vital responsibilities such as evaluating surgical specimens for essential diagnoses, mastering autopsy prosection methods, and participating in photographic documentation.

Prepare to take on a pivotal role by managing specimen preparation for fixation and embedding, executing advanced frozen section techniques, and actively engaging in a variety of departmental functions.

Your experience in this position will encompass a range of duties, from delivering patient services and contributing to innovative research to participating in educational initiatives and developing novel technical procedures.

This position is open to recent graduates, providing an exceptional opportunity to acquire practical experience and vital skills under the mentorship of certified professionals.

As a successful candidate, you will be expected to:
- Accession surgical specimens into the laboratory information system (LIS)
- Process and gross surgical specimens
- Conduct quality control and quality assurance measures.
- Perform routine and complex autopsies.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree in Pathologist Assistant Studies
- ASCP / AAPA Pathologist Assistant certification or must obtain ASCP/AAPA Pathologist Assistant certification within 6 months of hire.
