Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at United Energy Workers Healthcare. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our clients in a flexible scheduling environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Follows the plan of care to provide safe and competent care to clients.
  • Assists clients with maintaining good personal hygiene and creating a healthy and safe environment.
  • Plans and prepares nutritious meals for clients.
  • Assists clients with ambulation as approved.
  • Encourages clients to become as independent as possible according to the care plan.
  • Attempts to promote clients' mental alertness through involvement in activities of interest.
  • Provides emotional and psychological support to clients and their families.
  • Observes and reports any changes in clients' mental or physical condition or in the home situation to the supervisor.
  • Performs routine housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe and comfortable environment for clients.
  • Prepares progress notes promptly.
  • Confirms scheduling of visits on a weekly basis to coordinate with other staff members.
  • Works with personnel from other community agencies involved in clients' care.
  • Attends in-service training as required by State regulation.
  • Confers with the RN Case Manager about clients' status and care.
  • Promptly reports any changes in clients' condition to the RN Case Manager.
Requirements
  • Hearing, eyesight, and physical dexterity sufficient to perform a physical assessment of clients' condition and provide client care.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and move clients as needed.
  • Ability to lift and/or carry up to 30 pounds.
  • Effective communication skills, including verbal, written, and visual communication.
  • Ability to adhere to company guidelines and policies as set forth in the contract.

  • Use of BP cuff.
  • Use of thermometer.
  • Use of stethoscope.
  • Use of pulse oximeter.
  • Use of hand washing materials.
