Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at St. David's Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for gathering diagnostic information through the use of radioactive materials and sophisticated radiation detecting equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Perform Nuclear Medicine exams in accordance with established protocols.
  • Administer prescribed pharmaceutical-grade radioactive materials to patients, ensuring adherence to state and federal regulations.
  • Explain procedures to patients prior to exams and demonstrate proficiency with equipment used for NM exams.
  • Maintain accurate documentation regarding radioactive materials and perform surveys to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Enter procedure charges to patient accounts and coordinate outpatient exams with assigned physicians or extenders.
Requirements
  • Associate Degree and graduation from a Nuclear Medicine Program (NMTCB) and/or ARRT (N) certification.
  • At least 1 year of experience as a NM Technologist is preferred.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology (ARRT (N)) or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) through the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) is required.
