Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Newscast Director to join our team at Sinclair Broadcast Group. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for overseeing the production of our newscasts and ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities
  • Production Management: Direct and manage the production of newscasts, including planning, coordinating, and executing all aspects of the broadcast.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and train a team of production crew members, including camera operators, audio technicians, and graphic designers.
  • Content Creation: Develop and implement creative concepts for newscasts, including writing scripts, designing graphics, and selecting music and sound effects.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that all production equipment is in good working order, including cameras, audio equipment, and lighting.
  • Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot technical issues and make decisions quickly to ensure that the broadcast goes smoothly.
Requirements
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in television production, with a focus on newscast directing.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work well under pressure. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and Deko.
  • Education: A college degree in a related field, such as broadcasting, communications, or journalism.
