Job Summary

The CT Technologist plays a vital role in the Imaging department, coordinating services and activities to ensure efficient patient throughput and effective utilization of equipment and human resources. This position requires a strong understanding of radiology principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and patient care skills.

Responsibilities
  • Perform prescribed CT procedures, demonstrating knowledge and proficiency in the use of CT scan equipment.
  • Document patient information and relay relevant details to physicians.
  • Apply principles of radiation safety to minimize risk to patients, self, and others.
  • Participate in rotating call schedules and perform other department-related duties as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date with continuing education and training programs to maintain expertise in CT technology.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program.
  • Licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services as a Medical Radiologic Technologist.
  • Certified in Radiology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
  • Post-primary CT certification within 6 months of assignment.
