Position Summary

The Digital Products and Services team is tasked with the secure management of information systems throughout their operational lifecycle. This includes a comprehensive understanding of the information systems under their jurisdiction, the sensitive data that is stored, transmitted, or processed, and the enforcement of security principles such as least privilege and least functionality. Team members must also be aware of potential cybersecurity incidents and their responsibilities in responding to such events.

As a pivotal member of the security monitoring and analysis team, the Information Security Analyst will leverage data from various sources to identify, assess, and report on cybersecurity events that may impact the enterprise network. The primary goal is to safeguard information, information systems, and networks from potential threats.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing strategies to detect and identify cybersecurity events.
  • Investigating security alerts and analyzing detected events to ascertain attack targets and methodologies.
  • Evaluating the impact of security incidents and conducting ongoing security monitoring of both network and personnel activities.
  • Monitoring for unauthorized access, connections, devices, and software, as well as malicious code.
  • Communicating identified cybersecurity events to relevant stakeholders and escalating incidents as necessary.
  • Categorizing security incidents and testing detection processes to enhance overall security measures.
