Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Lab Assistant to join our team on a Full Time basis, working Second Shift hours. As a Lab Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our laboratory services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greets patients and collects and processes specimens for analysis by the clinical laboratory staff.
  • Orders lab work and performs clerical job duties associated with the outpatient drawing area.
  • Performs collection job duties associated with the Core Lab and adheres to all safety, infection control and colleague health policies and procedures.
  • Provides care appropriate to the age-related needs of patients served on the assigned unit.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Ability to read, write and understand the English language, and communicate effectively with patients, visitors, staff and physicians.
  • Intermediate language, basic math, intermediate reasoning ability.
  • Personal computer and ability to work as a team player.
