Position Overview: This role is contingent upon contract award.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize security databases such as DISS and SIMS.
  • Familiarize with Department of Defense (DoD) guidelines, including 32 CFR, Part 117, and the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual.
  • Ensure all security incidents are documented and reported to the appropriate security office and the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA).
  • Provide guidance to personnel regarding their reporting obligations, including both personal and compliance-related matters.
  • Handle sensitive inquiries from internal and external stakeholders, ensuring adherence to security protocols.
  • Assist in conducting internal investigations related to any criminal activities involving employees, as directed by Human Resources and program leadership.
  • Facilitate accurate reporting and investigations concerning any known or suspected misuse of client-owned assets, credentials, or personal identifying information (PII).
  • Coordinate with the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency and other relevant security agencies for information requests and security inspections.
  • Oversee security processes to implement the requirements of 32 CFR Part 117 and related federal regulations.
  • Review DD254s at all stages to identify security requirements and ensure compliance.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Education/Experience: A bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred. One year of relevant experience may substitute for one year of education if a degree is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of five years in a Facility Security Officer role, including at least two years in a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) environment.
  • Certificates/Licenses: Must be a United States Citizen with an active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Business Acumen: Proficient in the Defense Information System for Security (DISS), Security Information Management System (SIMS), and DoD Personnel Security procedures.
  • Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, ability to work collaboratively in a team, and adept at multitasking.
