Speech Language Pathologist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated School Speech Therapist to join our team in Georgia. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in supporting students with speech and language disorders.

Job Overview

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's specific needs.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students, including articulation, fluency, voice, and language interventions.
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and parents to integrate speech and language goals into students' educational programs.
  • Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development of appropriate goals and accommodations.
  • Educate and train school staff and families on strategies to support students' communication skills in various settings.
Requirements
  • A Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • A valid Georgia state license or eligibility for licensure in Speech Language Pathology.
  • Experience working with pediatric populations, preferably in a school setting.
  • Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapy skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices in speech-language pathology.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is $65,000-$90,000, depending on experience and qualifications. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, dental and vision coverage, and retirement plans.
