Travel Nurse RN

We are seeking a qualified Psychiatric Registered Nurse to join our team at a reputable healthcare facility in New Castle, Delaware. As a Psychiatric Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a safe and secure environment for staff and patients.
Key Responsibilities- Administer and document reactions to psychotropic medications and other treatments.
- Assist clients in understanding their emotional disturbances and the need for treatment.
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for staff and patients.
- Report to the Unit Supervisor.
- Perform head-to-toe assessments and manage group/behavior therapies within the scope of practice.
- Observe and report abnormal findings to the Charge Nurse or Medical Director.
- Intervene with appropriate interventions for urgent/emergent care.
- Provide direct care to acute and chronically ill psychiatric patients, including pediatric, adolescent, and geriatric populations.
- Manage patients with eating disorders, drug/ETOH detox, manic depressive, hallucination-delusions, suicidal, organic seizure disorders, and seclusion procedures.
- Participate in psych emergency response teams, including rapid tranquilization.
- Apply restraints according to facility policies and procedures.
- Current registered nurse licensure in good standing.
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- ACLS certification if patients are on telemetry monitors.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- A minimum of one year recent psychiatric nursing experience in a facility.
