SONIC Carhop Job Description

Are you a people person with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service? Do you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are ever the same? If so, we may have the perfect opportunity for you

As a SONIC Carhop, you will be responsible for serving and delivering food to our guests in a safe and efficient manner. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve and deliver food to guests in a timely manner
  • Ensure that all restaurant menu items meet operational standards
  • Greet all guests in a polite and friendly manner
  • Make accurate change quickly and efficiently for restaurant guests
  • Carry and balance a tray weighing up to 25 pounds
  • Serve our guests in a timely manner
  • Clear trays from our guests' cars

Skating Carhop Requirements:

  • Successfully complete the SONIC Skating Training Program
  • Roller skate proficiently and frequently on various surfaces when delivering food
  • Ability to continuously stand, balance and carry a tray, and sweep while roller skating

Requirements:

  • Ability to work irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to be flexible in all situations based on business need
  • Effective communication skills; basic math and reading skills
  • Willingness to abide by the appearance, uniform and hygiene standards at SONIC
