About the Role:

The RN Shift Supervisor plays a vital part in the nursing team at The Laurels of University Park, providing leadership, guidance, and support to nursing staff. This role is ideal for experienced Registered Nurses who are passionate about delivering high-quality care and mentoring others.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the delivery of nursing care to residents, ensuring that all care plans are implemented and updated as needed.
  • Collaborate with the nursing team to develop and implement nursing procedures and systems, promoting a culture of excellence in care.
  • Assess and evaluate the performance of nursing staff, providing constructive feedback and coaching to support their growth and development.
  • Contribute to the development of resident care plans, working closely with the interdisciplinary team to ensure that individualized care needs are met.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, maintaining accurate records and reporting any adverse reactions or concerns.

Qualifications:

  • Current state license as an RN.
  • Current CPR certification and additional certification in nursing specialty desired.
  • Management or supervisor experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing desired.
