Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Low Voltage Systems Estimator to join our team at Coast Security Group. As a key member of our commercial construction team, you will be responsible for analyzing project plans, specifications, and requirements to prepare accurate estimates for low-voltage systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze project plans, specifications, and requirements to prepare detailed and accurate estimates for low-voltage systems.
  • Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotes, ensuring competitive pricing and quality.
  • Prepare bid proposals, budgets, and cost breakdowns.
  • Maintain and update cost databases and estimation tools.
  • Assist in preparing comprehensive submittal packages for approval by clients, architects, and engineers.
  • Ensure all submittal documents meet project specifications, including product data sheets, shop drawings, and compliance certificates.
  • Coordinate with vendors and manufacturers to obtain the necessary documentation.
  • Track and manage submittal approvals, revisions, and re-submissions as required.
  • Maintain organized records of all submittal documentation for each project.
  • Work closely with the field teams to ensure estimates align with project execution plans.
  • Communicate with clients to address questions or concerns regarding estimates and submittals. Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and project kick-offs as needed.
  • Provide technical support and expertise throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
  • 1 year of experience in low voltage systems or security integration.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, floor plans, wiring diagrams, and specifications.
  • Ability to interpret CAD drawings.
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, success-driven, with strong organizational skills and a multi-tasker.
  • Reliable, self-determined, and excellent follow-up skills.
Preferred Skills
  • AUTOCAD and PDF editing software such as Adobe Suite or Bluebeam.
  • Microsoft Suite, including PowerPoint.
