Nurse Specialist

Duke Health is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Abdominal Transplant (6DCT) Unit. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional care to patients undergoing complex transplants, including liver, kidney, pancreas, and small bowel transplants.
About the Role:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with diverse needs, including pre-transplant, post-transplant, and ongoing care.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure seamless patient care.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, incorporating evidence-based practices and patient-centered approaches.
- Monitor and manage patient outcomes, identifying areas for improvement and contributing to quality initiatives.
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development, staying current with best practices and advancements in transplant nursing.

Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (or higher) OR Associate's Degree in Nursing OR Nursing Diploma program.
- Current registration with North Carolina State Board of Nursing as a registered professional nurse.
- BLS Certification.
