The Juneau School District is seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a critical role in supporting students with special needs to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and evaluate students with special needs to identify areas of strength and weakness.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address the unique needs of each student.
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to provide support and accommodations for students in inclusive educational settings.
  • Provide training and consultation to staff on strategies for supporting students with special needs.
  • Coordinate with other professionals to ensure comprehensive support for students.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Valid Alaska state occupational license and Alaska Type C Special Services certificate with appropriate endorsement.
  • Experience working with children with a broad spectrum of disabilities is highly desirable.
