Job Overview

This role focuses on promoting and protecting the health of workers within a safe and healthy work environment, collaborating with employees, management, and other professionals to prioritize interventions, develop and implement programs, evaluate care delivery, and maximize productivity and wellness. The position is research-based, emphasizing optimization of health, prevention of illness and injury, and reduction of health hazards.

Responsibilities
  • Safety/Health Promotion and ROI Demonstration:
    • Collaborate with client company management and employees to establish/maintain a workplace that protects workers from occupational illness and injury and maintains regulatory compliance.
    • Implement SHARE processes to monitor, track, trend, and report outcomes, demonstrating value and ROI to the customer.
  • Program Administration:
    • Manage program administration by utilizing the SHARE process, including goal setting, planning, implementation, evaluation, and measurement to achieve occupational health goals.
    • May provide oversight and direction to LPNs and wellness coordinators.
  • Occupational Health Program Development:
    • Develop and operate the occupational health program according to federal, state, and local laws, professional organizations, and SHARE Occupational Health Program guidelines.
    • Complete all requested reports timely and attend required meetings/presentations.
  • Health Education/Screensing/Counseling:
    • Establish/maintain a system for health/wellness promotion, screening, education, and counseling, as well as disease management and health coaching.
  • First Aid/Emergency Preparedness:
    • Apply nursing skills following SHARE Medical/Nursing Protocols and SHARE Clinical Procedures to provide a workplace program for timely and effective first aid and emergency treatment.
  • Prediction, Prevention, and Management:
    • Perform interventions focusing on behavior change and self-management to positively impact employee health with chronic conditions.
    • Collaborate with departments to facilitate employee success in utilizing available resources.
