We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Option Care Health. As a Clinical Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and accurate operation of our pharmacy services.
Key Responsibilities- Prescription and Equipment Preparation
- Review and validate prescription refill requests in accordance with Option Care Health policies and procedures.
- Assist with preparing and dispensing medications and supplies.
- Maintain equipment through calibration, inspection, cleaning, testing, and reporting any defects to the supervisor.
- Patient Support and Experience
- Collect and maintain patient information to ensure accurate planning of needed materials, supplies, equipment, and prescriptions.
- Ensure a positive patient experience by answering patient questions and responding to patient requests.
- Inventory Maintenance
- Receive and verify quantities of incoming supplies and materials.
- Stock and store new supplies and materials.
- Review expiration dates and identify shortages.
- Pick and pack materials and supplies.
- Create inventory tickets and track inventory through accurate data entry.
- Schedule routine patient deliveries.
- Site and Supplies Maintenance
- Clean and sanitize surfaces and laminar hood flows.
- Clean and organize supplies.
- Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 0 to 6 months of relevant experience.
- Licensed or registered within 6 months of hire (if required by state).
- Successful enrollment and completion of the Option Care Health designated training course within 6 months of hire (if licensure and/or training course is required by the state).
- Basic Qualifications and Interests
- Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers.
- Able to perform basic and intermediate-level mathematical calculations.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Basic level skill in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Frequent bending, stooping, reaching.
- Ability to carry at least 30lbs.
