Job Summary:

The Fontana Unified School District is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Athletic Trainer to join our team. As an Athletic Trainer, you will be responsible for providing medical care and support to our student-athletes, ensuring their safety and well-being during physical activities.

Responsibilities:

• Provide medical care and support to student-athletes, including injury assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation.
• Develop and implement injury prevention programs to reduce the risk of injury to student-athletes.
• Collaborate with coaches, teachers, and other school staff to ensure a safe and healthy environment for student-athletes.
• Maintain accurate records of student-athlete injuries and treatment plans.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research and best practices in athletic training.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field, such as sports medicine, physical education, or health education.
• Valid Athletic Trainer Certification (ATC) by the Board of Certification (BOC) of the National Athletic Trainers Association.
• Two (2) years of experience as an athletic trainer, physical therapist, paramedic, licensed vocational nurse, or related occupation.
• Valid California Driver's License.
• First Aid and CPR Certificates.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Certification as an Athletic Trainer through the BOC (Board of Certification).
• Experience in creating and/or managing schedules.
