Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pathologist Assistant to join our team at LabCorp, where we provide high-quality medical laboratory services. As a Pathologist Assistant, you will work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment, performing complete dissections, gross descriptions, and submitting tissue for microscopic examination and special studies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform complete dissections, gross descriptions, and submit tissue for microscopic examination and special studies
  • Follow laboratory procedures for specimen handling and processing
  • Adhere to quality control policies and procedures
  • Assist with rotations within the department and maintain a professional environment
  • Identify and correct problems that may affect test performance or reporting of test results
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Biological, Chemical, or a related life science
  • Completion of a NAACLS-accredited PA program (preferred)
  • Certification by the American Society of Clinical Pathology (preferred)
  • 2+ years of grossing experience in small biopsies and complex surgical cases
  • Experience in a high-volume clinical laboratory environment (preferred)
