Responsibilities
  • Provide Occupational Therapy Services: Deliver high-quality occupational therapy services to clients in accordance with Idaho Infant and Toddler Program procedures.
  • Screen and Evaluate Clients: Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify client needs and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Communicate with Families and Professionals: Interpret and communicate evaluation findings to families and other healthcare professionals, ensuring seamless collaboration and coordination of care.
  • Develop and Implement Treatment Plans: Create and implement individualized treatment plans, adapting to the unique needs and goals of each client.
  • Document Client Progress: Maintain accurate and detailed records of client assessments, treatment, follow-up, results, and discharge planning or termination of services.
  • Provide Education and Support: Instruct clients and families in occupational therapy procedures, home programs, and adaptive equipment use, promoting carryover of therapeutic remediation and goals in daily activities.
  • Participate in In-Service Education: Provide education to the client's care team and the community, enhancing knowledge and skills in occupational therapy practices.
  • Meet Administrative Requirements: Record billable treatment times according to Children's Therapy Place procedures and submit biweekly time sheets.
  • Maintain Professional Standards: Comply with Infection Control, Universal Precautions, and OSHA standards for healthcare professionals, upholding a positive and professional image at all times.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy: Possess a Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • National Credentialing Board Certification: Hold National Credentialing Board certification in Occupational Therapy.
  • Licensure in Idaho: Be licensed to practice occupational therapy in the state of Idaho.
  • Pediatric Experience: Preferably possess experience working with pediatric populations.
  • Positive Relationships and Rapport: Maintain positive relationships and rapport with coworkers, clients, family members, and other facility personnel.
  • Reliability and Punctuality: Report to work on time and coordinate schedule to achieve maximum productivity and efficiency during assigned work hours.
  • Background Check: Pass a criminal background check prior to employment.
