Position Overview:
Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital is in search of a full-time Director of Medical/Surgical/Pediatrics to oversee our clinical teams. This role includes a sign-on bonus, relocation assistance, and an annual bonus plan as part of the compensation package.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Formulating and executing departmental objectives aligned with clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical standards.
  • Overseeing departmental operations, including patient care delivery and quality control measures.
  • Managing staffing processes, including recruitment, orientation, and ongoing education.
  • Developing and monitoring departmental budgets to ensure compliance with financial guidelines.
  • Creating a supportive environment that promotes professional growth and development.
  • Incorporating evidence-based practices into clinical protocols.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in nursing required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Licensure: Current RN license in Nevada (or eligibility to obtain) is required. Certifications in ACLS and BLS must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
  • Experience: Minimum of five years of nursing experience in an acute care setting, with at least two years in a leadership role.
  • Skills: Strong critical thinking, decision-making abilities, and capacity to work independently in high-pressure situations.
