Job Details

As an Industrial Estimator, you will be responsible for developing comprehensive project cost estimates for industrial construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and services.

  • Develop detailed project cost estimates for industrial construction projects.
  • Review and interpret project plans and specifications to understand scope and requirements.
  • Utilize estimation software to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
  • Prepare and submit competitive bid proposals, ensuring they meet client requirements and deadlines.
  • Conduct detailed risk and opportunity assessments for each estimate.
  • Collaborate with project management and engineering teams to resolve technical issues during the estimation process.
  • Lead cost analysis and cost forecasting activities, providing insights and recommendations to optimize cost performance.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, rates, and pricing to inform estimation.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and internal teams, providing clear and detailed explanations of estimates and underlying assumptions.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in industrial construction estimating with a total of 6-10 years in construction/estimating.
  • Proficiency in construction software such as Primavera, Procore, Planswift, Sage, and Building Connected.
  • Strong experience in preparing bid proposals, cost analysis, and project estimating.
  • In-depth understanding of industrial construction processes, materials, and standards.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proven track record in delivering projects on time and within budget.
