Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Altus Community Healthcare. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for operating radiographic equipment to produce high-quality images of the body for diagnostic purposes. You will work closely with our ER Physician and Radiologist to ensure that patients receive the best possible care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate radiographic equipment to produce high-quality images of the body for diagnostic purposes.
  • Position patients and examining tables to obtain optimum views of the specified area of the body.
  • Practice radiation safety techniques to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff.
  • Administer and consent patients for contrast procedures, including IV and oral contrast.
  • Fill out appropriate paperwork and ensure proper documentation in patients' charts.
  • Maintain awareness of all departmental and operational policies of NEC.
  • Assist in the maintenance of all equipment in the department, including cleaning and QA procedures.
  • Explain procedures and treatments to patients, taking into account language barriers.
  • Provide safe transportation of patients to and from the patient care unit.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited approved school of Radiologic Technology.
  • At least 1 year of radiologic/imaging experience and CT experience.
  • Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Current State licensure.
  • Current BCLS Certification.
