Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Critical Care Nurse Specialist to join our team at Christus Health. This role involves providing professional nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia, utilizing assessment and evaluation processes.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for directing and/or providing post-anesthesia nursing care for an assigned group of patients across the age continuum. They will utilize the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to direct or provide nursing care.

Key Requirements
  • Graduate of an NLN accredited school of professional nursing
  • Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license
  • BLS Certification required or within 2 weeks of hire date
  • ACLS and PALS certifications must be obtained within 6 months of hire date

Work Environment

The ideal candidate will have previous PACU, ambulatory care, critical care, or general nursing experience. They will also possess excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to relate and work effectively with others.
