Agile Resources, Inc. is looking for a proficient Application Security Engineer with a strong emphasis on safeguarding Azure-based .NET applications. The successful candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of application security principles, threat modeling, and vulnerability assessment methodologies. This position necessitates practical experience with SAST and DAST tools, specifically Veracode, to detect and mitigate security threats.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct threat modeling and risk evaluations for .NET applications hosted on Azure.
  • Implement static application security testing (SAST) utilizing Veracode to uncover vulnerabilities within the codebase.
  • Perform dynamic application security testing (DAST) to evaluate application security during operational phases.
  • Work closely with development teams to address security vulnerabilities and enforce secure coding standards.
  • Remain informed about the latest security threats and vulnerabilities, and apply appropriate countermeasures.
  • Create and uphold security standards and protocols for the organization.
  • Engage in security incident response and investigations.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in application security, specifically with .NET web applications.
  • Experience in securing web applications hosted on Azure.
  • Demonstrated experience utilizing Veracode for security assessments through SAST and DAST methodologies.
  • Familiarity with OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities and security best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively.
