About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Nursing Assistant to join our team at Select Specialty Hospital - Erie. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our critically ill patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide basic patient care, including vital sign collection, bathing, and oral hygiene
  • Assist patients with daily activities, such as feeding, toileting, and mobility
  • Collect and document patient data, including demographic and medical information
  • Perform specific procedures, such as urinary catheter removal and finger stick blood sugars, under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse
  • Deliver meals and snacks, and document oral intake
  • Transport patients to designated areas, such as treatment centers
Requirements
  • Current enrollment in an accredited nursing school (ADN or BSN program)
  • Proof of completion of the first year/fundamentals of nursing, or equivalent
  • Knowledge of basic nursing techniques and procedures, and aseptic practices
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date
