Job Summary
We're seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to process bi-weekly, semi-monthly, or monthly payroll for employees accurately and timely. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll processing, knowledge of various payroll systems and software, and excellent organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Process payroll for employees accurately and timely
- Perform general ledger account reconciliations related to payroll
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax regulations
- Utilize multiple payroll systems, including ADP, Paylocity, Paycom, QuickBooks, and Workday
- Handle accounts receivable duties related to payroll transactions
- Provide payroll information by answering questions and requests and maintaining payroll guidelines
- Work closely with the client HR team regarding benefit premiums and monthly carrier reconciliation
- Conduct 10-key typing for data entry accuracy
Requirements
- Proven experience in payroll processing and accounting
- Familiarity with tax regulations and laws
- Proficiency in using multiple payroll systems
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all work performed
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Strong communication skills to interact with employees regarding payroll inquiries
- Ability to work with a variety of clients in various economic sectors
- Self-started with the ability to work productively from home
Working Conditions / Essential Functions
The Payroll Specialist will work in a computer-based environment, accessing, inputting, and retrieving information from the computer system. Daily work includes computer interfacing, data entry, communications, and movement throughout the office. Physical demands include the ability to lift and move objects, visually monitor information/data on a computer screen, and communicate with Boost HR leadership and client contacts.
