Janitorial Supervisor

About the Role

• The Operations Manager will oversee daily janitorial operations, ensuring that work orders are completed, client requests are met, and cleaning standards are maintained.
• This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills to lead a team and deliver quality customer service.

Responsibilities

1. Manage night shift operations for assigned buildings, coordinating with the office to relay work orders to cleaning teams.
2. Train staff to maintain high cleaning standards and client satisfaction.
3. Conduct regular audits to ensure completion and quality of work, reporting findings to customer service.
4. Perform annual performance reviews and attend staff planning meetings.
5. Ensure accurate employee schedules and address any clock-in/clock-out issues.
6. Attend new account walkthroughs and start-ups to facilitate smooth transitions.
7. Deliver and collect supplies, maintain inventory levels, and communicate with HR for staffing needs and disciplinary actions.
8. Drive company vehicles to perform audits and support staff across multiple locations.

Operational Duties

1. Support team members with cleaning tasks, including vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, sanitizing bathrooms, and cleaning common areas.
2. Restock supplies, maintain janitor closets, and ensure cleaning equipment is safe and operable.
3. Follow all safety protocols and use appropriate PPE as required.

Qualifications

• 12-18 months of experience in commercial janitorial services.
• 12-18 months of supervisory experience managing a team of 15+ individuals.
• Valid Driver's License, reliable transportation, and clean driving record.
• Proficiency in English; Spanish skills are preferred.
• Background check required upon hiring.
