Williams Plumbing is seeking a Procurement Specialist - Plumbing & HVAC to enhance our operations. The Procurement Specialist will oversee the purchasing processes, engage in supplier negotiations, and guarantee the prompt acquisition of top-quality materials and supplies vital for our projects. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Formulate and propose purchasing policies to senior management.
  • Oversee the procurement of materials and supplies necessary for organizational operations.
  • Document and disseminate all correspondence and records related to purchased materials for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage the billing of inventory materials to respective projects.
  • Engage in vendor relations, including selection, negotiation of terms, and pricing strategies.
  • Serve as a liaison among suppliers, management, and clients.
  • Coordinate delivery schedules with vendors, warehouse managers, field personnel, and other relevant parties.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of purchases, delivery timelines, vendor information, costs, and additional resources.
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance purchasing and warehousing operations.
  • Oversee the return of materials to vendors, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed.
  • Research advancements in materials and tools pertinent to the plumbing industry to ensure the procurement of optimal products regarding performance, safety, reliability, and cost.
  • Analyze market trends to forecast changes in material pricing and availability.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in procurement or purchasing, ideally within the mechanical contracting or construction fields.
  • Familiarity with materials and supplies utilized in various trades.
  • Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work autonomously and adhere to a structured work schedule.
  • Capable of managing deadlines and prioritizing multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for interaction with all levels of the organization and external partners.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to foster and maintain positive relationships with colleagues, clients, and suppliers.
