The Norman Regional Health System seeks a skilled Registered Nurse to join its team in the Ortho Spine unit. As a key member of the healthcare team, this individual will provide comprehensive care to patients undergoing orthopedic procedures.
About the Role:
- This position involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to assess, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
- The ideal candidate will possess strong critical thinking skills, utilizing evidence-based practices to optimize patient outcomes.
- A minimum of an Associate's degree in nursing is required; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) is preferred.
Compensation and Benefits:
The salary for this position ranges from $27.84 to $45.46 per hour, depending on experience. A $2.50 per hour evening differential, $3.00 per hour night differential, and $3.00 per hour weekend differential are also included. Additionally, benefits such as medical, dental, vision, short-term disability, long-term disability, life insurance, paid time off (PTO), paid holidays, tuition reimbursement, scholarship opportunities, retirement plans, free parking, and advancement opportunities are available.
About the Department:
The Ortho Spine unit is a 32-bed department specializing in orthopedic patients. The team has achieved disease-specific certification from the Joint Commission in Hip Replacement, Knee Replacement, and Hip Fracture patients, earning them a Center of Excellence designation. They also care for Total Shoulder and Ankle patients, as well as other fractures, and manage low-level cardiac patients and some med-surg patients.
Responsibilities:
- Assessment and Reassessment: Evaluate patients' health needs and develop individualized care plans.
- Nursing Diagnosis and Outcomes: Determine nursing diagnoses and expected outcomes based on patient assessments.
- Implementation and Coordination of Care: Provide high-quality patient care through interventions that achieve desired outcomes.
- Evaluation: Monitor patient progress, recognizing problems, and making informed decisions to adjust care plans.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse license.
- Diploma or Associate's degree in nursing required; BSN or MSN preferred.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is desirable.
